Even though we only have a limited number of winter pitches, we warmly welcome tourists, holiday guests, and short-term visitors who want to enjoy a relaxing winter getaway.

We have only a small number of winter pitches, so it’s a good idea to book in advance. Each pitch includes electric hookup, access to heated service buildings, and everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Our modern service buildings are always ready – heated, clean, and comfortable – so you can enjoy a pleasant stay even when snow is falling outside.
❄️ Winter Camping with Comfort & Peace
At Horsens City Camping, winter camping is both cozy and comfortable. The winter area has solid roads and good drainage, so you can easily access your pitch – even when snow starts to fall.
For our winter guests, the service building in the eastern part of the site remains open and heated throughout the season, so you can always enjoy a hot shower – without freezing your toes!
Our large cabins are also open year-round – ideal if you prefer a bit of extra comfort during the colder months.
🚜 Snow Clearing & Winter Maintenance
When winter arrives, we take care of snow clearing and de-icing as needed. We salt around buildings for safety, but use gravel and sand on roads to protect nature and the grass.
Over the years, we’ve upgraded the entire campsite, including the winter area. We now offer several types of winter pitches – with fjord views, peaceful surroundings, or close to the service building. Whether you stay for a few days or several weeks, there’s a pitch that suits your needs.
🌨️ Driving & Site Conditions
To protect our grassy areas, driving on grass is restricted during winter. We ask all guests to park on roads or designated areas to help prevent deep tracks and mud.
We continuously improve the ground with sand and new grass seeds, but in mild, green winters, the grass can still be soft – so we recommend bringing good rubber boots.
There may be maintenance work on weekdays, but we always try to minimize any disturbance for our guests.
🏕️ Winter Atmosphere & Practical Info
Although the kiosk, mini golf, and pool are closed for the winter, you can still buy gas at the reception – and we’re always here to help if needed.
